This month PCU Colorado passed her Pressure Hull Complete milestone. That means that all the hull sections have been welded together and the boat will be ready for the water soon. The picture below shows the boat in the construction hall. The enclosures around the hull surround the area where the welds were completed and will be removed soon. Welcome to USS Colorado (SSN-788) Commissioning Committee web site. USS Colorado (SSN-788) is the 15th Virginia Class submarine. She was delivered to the Navy on September 21, 2017. Having completed shakedown operations, she was commissioned on March 17, 2018 at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, CT. The Committee's purposes are to promote awareness within the state, provide support for the crew, and to help organize and raise money for the events surrounding commissioning.
As part of Military Appreciation Day events on January 29th, the Colorado Legislature introduced Joint House Resolution 16-1005 honoring USS Colorado (SSN 788). Click on the link below to view this resolution.

USS Colorado Commissioning Committee is proud to host a reception and fund raising event on April 8 at Balistreri Vineyards. Guest speaker will retired Vice Admiral Jay Donnelly, former Commander of U.S. Submarine Forces. We also hope to have several members of the crew in town for the event.
